OUR STORY
Fourteen months ago, a simple social media post sparked what would become **As Of Yet**.
Shannon, an acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter from Melbourne, reached out looking for a fellow musician or two to bring his heartfelt, folk-inspired originals to life. Drawing from local and international influences, he’d spent years writing solo — songs close to the heart and soul — waiting for the right moment to expand them.
Brad answered the call. With nearly 30 years behind the kit playing classic Aussie rock and more, he brought clean, consistent rhythm and a rock-solid backbone that gave the evolving sound real stability.
Jams then kicked off around Melbourne at spots like The Jam Hut, GM Sound Studios, The Hen House and even Shannon’s family warehouse in Thomastown. The music quickly grew beyond its acoustic roots, leaning boldly into alternative rock.
By mid-2025, the band knew a bass would take things to the next level. Enter Brett — a seasoned player with heavier influences, a deep respect for all styles, and a knack for dynamic, driving basslines that added serious depth and impact.
Studio sessions rolled in. Open mics became regular. Momentum built.
Then came a setback — their lead guitarist relocated for work. For a moment, it felt like maybe this was going to be harder than expected. But they kept writing. Kept playing. Kept looking.
A tip from the local scene led them to Blake. After a January 2026 audition at The Hen House, it was clear — he was the missing piece. Blake brought electric flair, subtle textures, soaring solos and the kind of musical instinct that lifts songs where they’re meant to be.
Now four strong, As Of Yet continue to write and perform original alternative rock across Melbourne — music you can sing to, move to, and feel in your bones.
This is our passion. Our music. Our band.
As Of Yet.
